Accomodation
The Grand Banks 36 offers a total of 5 berths in 2 cabins plus saloon if required. The forward cabin offers a “v” berth as well as loads of storage under the berths. There is also a hanging locker and an enclosed en-suite heads compartment.
As you move aft, this is the main wheelhouse, saloon and galley area. This layout has proved very successful for family cruising. The main reason for this is to allow all guests onboard to communicate easily rather than having them spread out throughout the boat. The helmsman and guests have excellent visibility when seated, or standing, in the main salon.
The saloon offers a cabinet with drawers and an “L” shaped seating area. The varnished teak hi-lo table matched the rich woodwork throughout. This settee converts to an extra sleeping berth if required with extra storage under the berth.
Opposite the lower helm is the galley. The galley comes equipped with hot and cold pressure water, stainless steel sink, 3-way (gas/24V/240V) refrigerator, four burner gas stove with oven and ample counter and storage space.
As you lead aft you will find the master stateroom which features a double berth to starboard and a single berth to port. These berths offer storage underneath. There is an enclosed heads compartment with shower and a hanging wet locker.
There is also an opening hatch leading aft and out to the aft deck.
Excellent ventilation is offered throughout this boat with thanks to the opening windows, ports and doors.
