Conversion to a live-aboard is due to be completed with sleeping for six in two cabins (with additional occasional sleeping for two), this is a lovely boat ready to live on in comfort anywhere in the World.
The accommodation currently comprises a living / eating area, two cabins, galley, bathroom and wheelhouse as detailed later. Bulkheads in most rooms have been lined with pine tongue & groove cladding with hardwood trimmings. Many original features have been retained. 240v electrics have been fitted throughout by qualified electricians and the main machinery serviced regularly by an experienced engineer.
The vast engine room (18ft 5 x 25ft 3) provides extra potential for conversion over two floors (with engine removed) and the three deck areas provide masses of space for outside entertainment. A full and detailed inventory is included in the following pages together with the original build specification and a potted history of her working life.
Masters cabin 10ft 8 x 8ft 5
The former Masters cabin has been converted and carpeted to provide a spacious living / eating area with seating for six (or occasional sleeping for two). With hardwood trimmings throughout, there are built in storage areas and a character wood burning stove with exposed stainless steel chimney. The original brass portholes and hardwood entrance doors have been retained.
Master Bedroom 15ft 5 x 12ft 7
The Master bedroom has been fully insulated, carpeted and a luxurious wooden king size bed (with under-bed heating and storage) built-in. There are lots of shelves for additional storage and double / single wardrobes. An entertainments unit (with T.V and Hi-fi) has been fitted above the double wardrobe and there are recessed spotlights throughout. Twin ceiling fans have been fitted to provide additional ventilation.
Galley - 6ft 1 x 4ft 5
The galley is fully equipped with LPG four-burner hob, full size electric oven, sink / drainer unit and fridge (with freezer compartment). The work surfaces are fully tiled and a non-slip covering has been applied to the floor. The sink unit currently discharges directly overboard but a storage tank could easily be fitted. The original twin portholes and an extraction fan provide ventilation.
Bathroom 4ft 8 x 4ft 5
The bathroom has a full size shower cubicle (with over board discharge or waste tank storage). The domestic WC (with over board discharge or waste tank storage) has a built in macerator. The domestic wash basin has a built in vanity unit and bulk-head mounted cupboards provide additional storage space. A non-slip covering has been applied to the floor.
Rope locker 17ft 8 x 7ft
The former rope locker has been converted to provide additional sleeping for four in twin double beds. With luxurious carpeting and under-bed storage / double wardrobe the room provides a cosy and secluded self-contained sleeping area.
Wheelhouse 7ft 2 x 6ft 7
The wheelhouse is original throughout and can be a lovely place to watch the world go by. The four foot brass ships wheel makes a fantastic leaning post. A larger wheelhouse could be added for use as a saloon with access from the Masters Cabin or deck area.
Engine room 25ft 3 x 18ft 5
The engine room is original throughout and houses the massive National 8 main engine, two generators, loads of pumps and an awesome main circuit panel. Removing the engine would provide an additional 450 sq ft for conversion over two floors.
