Engines

When asked by Blue Chip companies to design a reliable and Sea Worthy boat one of the first things they usually ask for is to install is reliable engines. The next thing they ask for is to have Fixed Pitch Nozzle Propellers. This NEW BUILD has BOTH.

The Main engines are 2 x CATERPILLAR CAT 3512B –US 1500BHP @1600RPM with 2 x Twin disc MG5506 – US 6.00:1 reduction gear boxes. The power is transmitted to 2 x 4 blade fixed pitch nozzle propellers.

The Gensets are a combination of power and economy. The main Gensets are 2 x Caterpillar 3406C-US 215KW/400V50Hz and 3 phase, whilst a more economical Harbour Genset is available and it is a Perkins PM75S – UK / Singapore and rated at just 60KW/400V/50Hz and is again 3 phase.

BOW THRUSTER – no ship would be complete these days without a proper bow thruster and this ship has two. They are 2 x NICEREX 500 – Hong Kong and rated at 90KW each.

STERN THRUSTER – there is a stern thrust ejecting unit fitted and it is a BF – 1500M3

The Electro-hydraulic steering gear is manufactured in Germany by Rexroth. This model is the 1 x 3 T-M unit.

Recirculation rate: 85%
Additional split air conditioners (cooling) for wheelhouse and ECR

When we said this vessel was to be constructed as a quality vessel, we meant the Manufacturers had studied the latest design criteria and incorporated it into the design of this vessel. The result is the vessel complies with ILO Convention No.92 & No. 133.
