This ship is powered by twin EMD 16-567BC diesel engines giving a total output of 3280hp. These engines are coupled to 2.98:1 ratio Western gearboxes which are connected to 4 bladed 90 x 90 inch propellers within kort nozzles. This gives the ship excellent power for passage making through heavy seas.
This ship is also fitted with a Brunvoll SPT-AP-400 bow thruster giving 4.5t of thrust at 400hp. This is powered by a GM 12V71 engine making servicing, spares and repairs very much accessible almost anywhere in the world.

There is accommodation on board for the crew in 10 cabins for a total of 22. However, as this ship has been used latterly as a rescue standby vessel, there is currently a removable hospital unit onboard. This area gives seating for an additional 58 passengers and 20 survival berths.
