Engines

This ship is powered by twin MIRR ESL 16 MGR diesel engines giving a total output of 4000hp. This power is fed through a reverse reduction gearbox to the 2.5m fixed pitch propeller within a kort nozzle.

This ship is far more manoeuvrable than most others of its size. This manoeuvrability comes from not only the twin screw propulsion, but also from the 400hp CAT D349 bow thruster giving 4.5t of thrust AND a 100hp stern thrusters also giving 4.5t of thrust.

This ship has in the past operated as an offshore tug and can sustain a bollard pull of 58t. With a strong hull design, stunning manoeuvrability and a range in excess of 20,000 nautical miles, this would be ideal for ocean crossings.

Onboard you will also find 2 x CAT D346 diesel generators producing 320kw and a CAT D333 diesel generator producing 110kw.

This ship has a maximum speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots and an economical cruising speed of 8 knots. On average this ship has returned the following figures:-

• Maximum speed – 14 knots – 12t / 24 hours
• Cruising speed – 11 knots – 8t / 24 hours
• Economic speed – 8 knots – 4.5t / 24 hours
• Dead slow – 3 knots – 1t / 24 hours
• In port / at anchor – 0.3t / 24 hours

At a speed of 11 knots, this ship has a range of 21,730 nautical miles.
