This tug is powered by a medium speed Ruston 7 cylinder diesel engine producing 850hp. This engine drives a fixed pitch propeller in a steerable kort nozzle via a hydraulic gearbox. This gives the tug excellent power and manoeuvrability at both high and low speeds.
There is also 2 x 40kw Gardner generators onboard an a 6kw harbour generator.
The tug offers a fuel capacity of 36T (43,600 litres) with a consumption of less than 20 gallons per hour. This gives a range of approximately 4000 miles making this tug ideal for coastal operations and serious passage making.
There is also 8T of fresh water onboard and 17T of water used for ballast.

This tug offers 8 berths in 4 cabins. These cabins are designed for crew staying onboard for considerable period of time. As a result of this, the tug is equipped with extras including central heating, washing machine, toilets, showers, and a large galley with all the appliances you could ever need.
This tug has a Hagglund hydraulic towing winch onboard with 400m of 32mm wire. There is also two 12m 32mm wires in the form of a towing bridle.
The towing winch is powered by an independent diesel power pack which was installed in 2005.
You will also find onboard a hydraulic windlass, 2 anchors, 2 warping drums and a 2 ton hydraulic capstan aft.
This tug is well equipped with electronics and navigation equipment for coastal operations. This equipment includes:-
