Engines

This unique motor yacht is powered by a single, six cylinder Lister 100hp inboard diesel engine. This engine has proved to be a very reliable and economical engine, essential for charter operations.

This engine is connected to a Coventry hydraulic 3:1 reduction gearbox. This power is finally led to a 3 bladed fixed pitch bronze propeller with stainless steel rope cutters.

Construction

This motor yacht was built in 1974 by Weymarine of Dorset. It is constructed of carvel construction of iroko on rock elm. This boat has recently been operating under a MCA Cat 4 classification operating up to 20 miles from safe haven with 12 passengers and 2 crew on whale watching tours.

This boat could easily continue as a passenger vessel or be used as a motor yacht.

Accomodation

This boat is equipped with a full galley, heads and 4 berth accommodation. The galley is situated on the port side just forward of the wheelhouse. The galley comprises of a sink, 2 burner gas cooker and plenty of storage lockers.

The heads compartment is also located on the port side with the fore cabin housing two lower and two upper berths. These berths offer ample storage lockers below as well as plenty of light and ventilation through the opening hatches.

Decking Equipment

This boat is well equipped for its size including:-
• A galvanised 20kg Bruce anchor with 40m of 12mm galvanised chain and 100m of 25mm rope.
• A galvanised 18kg Fisherman anchor with 10m x 10mm galvanised chain and 150m x 12mm rope.
• 2 x 50 litre fuel tanks
• 1 x whale gusher titan manual pump
• 1 x whale gusher 30 manual pump
• 1 x electric submersible pump with auto float switch
• There is also a hydraulic capstan winch mounted securely on a wooden platform across the side deck on the port side. This is fastened to the outboard and inboard coamings and controlled below the winch housing. The hydraulic hoses were all replaced recently.
