| Hull Material: | Iron |
It is hard when you look at the photographs to remember you are describing a ship, so we will do the honourable thing and use the nautical vernacular to describe her in detail to you.
SALOON
The huge amount of natural light through her double glazing, makes the saloon appear warm and welcoming to her guests. The inbuilt lighting in the ceiling allows the headlining to be unrestrictive with nothing to detract from the smooth surface finish. Again the choice of colour has added to the general ambiance with the soft black leather furniture and the coffee table generating a feeling of space beyond her physical dimensions. The beech laminate flooring has added to the aura, by becoming an integral part of the concept her designer set out to achieve.
A dining table is situated adjacent to the open plan stair. Again taste and style combine in perfect harmony to allow the table to be functional without being oppressive with the adjacent saloon.
Power sockets are strategically placed as is the central heating system to show the whole concept was planned and not just created.
Satellite television and a telephone are also to be found in the saloon.
GALLEY
Any chef would be proud of the galley to be found on board this vessel. Again everything has been designed to combine taste, elegance and ergonomics so that the maximum amount of utilisation was gained from the existing space.
The custom built galley is manufactured from hand folded stainless steel with integrated oven, hob and fridge freezer. The utensils have been set out to compliment the design. A continuance of the beech laminate flooring allows the galley to be easy cleaned and to be again a compliment to her designer.
OWNERS STATEROOM
When the Naval Architect designed the owners stateroom he had to find a way to combine all the taste, style and elegance found throughout the Barge in the owners stateroom. Needless to say he succeeded in a way that allowed natural light to flow through to make this as grand as any penthouse flat could be. The combination of the skylight window and the nautical stainless steel porthole combine to make the stateroom bright and warm.
The full sized double bed and the shelf combine to make it a perfect liveaboard.
HEADS
This is usually the Achilles’ heel on any vessel. Not on this vessel. When you employ the services of an expert designer and architect it is less than surprising that he should turn the weakest room into one of the highlights of the image he tried to create. The beech laminate floor is again continued in to the “Heads” to provide a wipeable, durable surface without losing out on atmosphere. The modern stainless steel sink is again continuing the theme and the bath is modern and tasteful for the vessel it is fitted to. The heads itself fully complies with EU regulations and is discharged through a Water Hill pump ashore.
CENTRAL HEATING
The engine was removed and a Worcester – Bosch 1/19 Heatsve central heating boiler was installed instead. This provides central heating throughout the boat.
WASHING FACILITIES
No Liveaboard could be complete without a washing facility and this one is no different. An Ariston washer/dryer was installed in one of the two holds beneath.
Lying in one of the most tranquil surroundings imaginable this Barge has all the deck equipment it requires. Her large upper deck has been covered in rubber to be non slip and the majority of it covered with an elegant canopy. There are strategically placed shrubs that instantly expose the guest to the grandeur about to be experienced as soon as you step through the large patio doors.
Lying within an area of historic interest only minutes from the city centre yet in an area renowned as a swan feeding station. There is off street parking for one vehicle adjacent to the Barge.
All boats rely on the mooring lines for its safety and this vessel has been fitted with NEW steel mooring ropes as a precaution.
A completion certificate in 2000 is available and an out of water survey is available for July 2004.
