12.6m Pilot Boat

Wright International Ltd is constantly on the look out for quality vessels for our very valued customers all over the world. So when we had the opportunity to offer such a reliable and versatile Pilot boat as this, we had no hesitation to put it on our web site. She is 12.6m in length and carries up to six persons (4 persons + 2 crew) at speeds of up to 28 knots. Whilst this is impressive, it is the sea keeping and the manoeuvrability that allows this Pilot Boat to stand out from the myriad of others. Being powered by the Cummins engine and Hamilton water jet combination it allows the Skipper to have top end speed, acceleration and an unbelievable sea keeping ability as he delivers his precious cargo of Pilots out to the boats coming into port. Any Pilot will tell you that it takes a very stable boat to deliver them safely onto the ships they bring in to port as the combination of wash and waves makes for a test of seamanship and teamwork. Whatever else happens this boat is designed to give the Skipper the best ride he can hope for whatever the weather. Built in aluminium it is robust, durable and easily maintained allowing it to have more days at sea and less in the repair yard. Engines

Probably the most reliable engines on the market this Pilot Boat is powered by twin Cummins 6CTA – 8.3M engines each producing 350BHP. The power is transmitted down to the Hamilton HJ274 water jets. This allows the boat to achieve:-

Construction

This extremely well designed vessel is built in marine grade aluminium and typical pilot cutter design with her centrally placed cabin, clear aft decks as well as fore decks. This allows for a safer transfer of the Pilots and a broad walkway either side allowing port or starboard egress from the boat. It is able to perform a wide range of duties for both coastal and inshore work.

Designed and built to Bureau Veritas standard allowing her to be used in just about any port in the world.

Accomodation

The cockpit is ergonomically laid out to utilise and maximise the space to provide the greatest degree of comfort and safety for its occupants. The all round visibility allows the interior to be bright as well as providing a more accurate approach to the ships this vessel is designed to come alongside. The Pilots travel in seating with independent suspension and well placed head restraints allowing for a smooth ride at high speeds over the waves.

Navigation Equipment

This vessel has to be used in all types of weather and this can mean poor visibility. To ensure her Skipper has the safest possible ride the Manufacturers have again ergonomically positioned the Radar, Compass, VHF, Depth Gauge and speed indicators so as to have everything where the should be for the most effective use.

All electronics are state of the art and only reputable makes used.

Safety Equipment

Being a Pilot Boat and classed to Bureau Veritas this boat has every conceivable safety equipment on board. As well as the obvious ones such as flares, life jackets and liferafts it also has electronic warnings for exhaust, bilges and oil pressure.
