Construction

Everyone knows that the Dutch build excellent boats and that they last for a very long time. When it comes to the Dutch Fishing Vessels they were built to make sure the fishermen had a vessel that would allow them to work anywhere in any seas in absolute safety. That is why this vessel is so useful as Survey Boat, Workboat or long distance cruiser as she can be sailed anywhere in confidence. So much so that the present owners are so confident in her both structurally and mechanically that they are prepared to deliver her anywhere in the world at an additional cost to the purchase price. It speaks volumes when an owner has so much confidence in his boat that he will take on the elements and the wrath of our seas to prove it.

The last docking report that we have is for 2004 and it shows the accommodation was repainted. The Caterpillar generator, compressors, new sea chest, hull were all fully blasted and repainted. The topsides are presently being re-shotblasted and repainted and will be finished by the end of July 2006.

The Dutch build to last and the nominal 10mm thick hull is testimony to that as it is still in excellent condition throughout.

Accomodation

The accommodation for nine people also has a toilet and shower. Galley is fitted with all usual equipment.

Decking Equipment

•7.5 HP anchor windlass

The large enclosed forepeak previously contained a small decompression chamber. It houses the power pack for the HIAB Crane. The crane is actually much bigger than the SWL of 1.5T, It can lift 1.5T at 8 metres. We believe it was originally rated at 6T @ 3.5 metres.

The sizeable alloy hatch on the main deck gives access to the 100 cubic metre hold.

Heating is provided by a hot water calorifier. The vessel is fitted to accept air conditioning, but requires a compressor.

This vessel is fitted with additional Fuel and Fresh Water Tanks.

For fuel it has an endurance of 30 days @ 10KTS burning 2.5 TPD.

If someone wanted sail her today, there is a full charge of lube oil in the storage tanks and approx 40T of fuel on board.
