30 Passenger Vessel

Wright International Ltd is able to offer this very strong and modern passenger boat that has benefited from a recent upgrade and new MCA coding. This boat is now capable of carrying 30 passengers onboard and has performed in a variety of roles from dive charter, tourist transportation to a ship to shore transfer for cruise liners. The almost unique bow allows this boat to beach itself and the propeller and rudder has been solidly protected with the best prop guard we have ever seen on a boat of this size. The deck is also capable of carrying up to 4 tonne to allow this boat to perform as a workboat or carry dive gear for divers etc. This is a very versatile boat and one that should be given serious consideration, especially when you consider it is road transportable and can win contracts other boats simply cannot.

Engines

This vessel has been designed to be used on coastal as well as inland waters and the Naval Architect chose to use the reliability of the ubiquitous Ford Mermaid engine to deliver the power when it is needed. Her 135 BHP is transmitted through the 3:1 reduction gearbox down through the shaft to her single prop.

Comfortably doing 8 Knots she can work all day and only use around 4 Gals per hour.

Construction

One look at her hull and you realise that this vessel was built for serious work and her 6mm hull designed to cruise through the waves. Her bow as well as being designed to break the waves was also designed to allow her to run on to a beach to load and unload her passengers on the remote islands.

Her lower deck is designed to carry a uniformly distributed load of 4 Tonnes.

Her watertight compartments each have their own bilge pumps mounted on deck and her electric bilge pumps are wired to a warning light on her mast so that it can be seen from the harbour masters office if it is required to go on board and set off the pumps.

Her solid mooring posts make sure that she is safely moored when in port or tied up to a quay wall.

She has an additional safety mechanism built in with a secondary steering position with an emergency tiller. This has been tried and proves to be most effective with relative ease of use.
