Wright International Ltd has been asked to sell this very useful tug direct from its owner / operator. She has 8 berth accommodation for her crew and she has full liveaboard farcicalities. This tug built in 1965 has been built to last and everything about her exudes an era that knew how to build ships. Her slow revving 4 stroke, 6 cylinder Ruston & Hornsby engine produces 1465 BHP at just 520 rpm. The power is transmitted down through her shaft to her fixed pitch propellers in Kort Rudders. She is able to work at around 12 knots and she has been rated at 22 TBP. If you are looking for a harbour / coastal tug then you could do worse than to consider this one. Engines

MAIN ENGINE
This tug has the world famous Ruston & Hornsby 4 stroke, 6 cylinder engine and it produces 1465 BHP at just 520 rpm. This means she has the power to do 12 knots without burning huge amounts of diesel the way most new tugs do.

Engine is Type 6 ATCM 1465 BHP @ 520rpm transmitted through a Moder wheel drive reverse reduction gearbox with a built in Mitchell thrust block, driving a fixed pitch propeller in a Kort Rudder.

AUXILIARIES
This vessel has two main Gen Sets to provide all the power it will ever need and the beauty of it is they are also Ruston & Hornsby. This makes the spares for all three engines very simple as they are all the same Manufacturer.

GEN SETS:-
2 x Ruston & Hornsby type 6YDZ 4 stroke diesel engines producing 90 BHP @ 1800 rpm. 220 Volts DC 40 Kw.

1 x Harbour Gen Set Ruston & Hornsby type 3 YDZ 4 stroke diesel engine developing 45 BHP @1800 rpm. 220 Volts DC 25 Kw.

STEERING GEAR
The steering gear on this vessel is the Vickers type electric / hydraulic ram type 2 ST/230/37 with a torque of 26 tons ft. This allows for a manoeuvring time 50 Deg in just 12 seconds.

Pumping units 14.5 BHP motor telemotor 3 ft wheel with extension to top wheel.

L.O. TRANSFER PUMP
This is a mono motor driven pump 3 TPH against 21 metre head.

PURIFIER
There is a De Laval type 1414B which generates 19 Ltrs / min. Heater 9 Kw.

SWITCH BOARD
The switch board on this vessel is the dead front type. Fuses are porcelain basses with ammeters fitted to all starters above 5 KW

BILGE / GS PUMP
There are 2 x clutch driven type CD 70 RG 24 TPH against the 21 metre head. 4 BHP motor @1,000 rpm.

AIRCOMPRESSOR
The compressor on board is again the Hamworthy type delivering 20 Cu Ft.
F.A.D. at 350 P.S.I. driven by a 220 Volt DC Motor.

2 x hand operated monitors combined with foam / water nozzles with a total capacity of 3182 Ltrs / min.

WINDLASS
The vessel is fitted with a Reid’s hand and electric power windlass to suit 15/15” Dia Stud link cable. The 10 BHP motor lifting speed is 10/20m min

WARPING WINCH
This is again a Reid’s unit.
2 x Warping drums, 20 BHP motor 220 Volts DC – 3 Tons at 15 metres / min or 1.5 Tons at 30 metres / min.
