When Wright International Ltd selects the vessels we list we are always aware that the vessels could be used anywhere in the world. That is why we select only the vessels with quality and universal named equipment. This superb vessel for example is fitted with the ever reliable Cat 3512 engines delivering 1750 BHP @ 1600 rpm. The power is transmitted down through the Reinties WAF 762 Gearboxes to the shafts and to the fixed pitch propellers fitted with Kort nozzles.
This power is also complemented by the use of a 5 Tonne Bow Thruster to provide absolute maneuverability for the Skipper.
GEN SETS
Again to keep spares simple and easily obtained the Manufacturers installed three 215 Kw Cat 3406 Gen Sets. These powerful units produce 415 V, 3 Phase, 50 Hz power to the ship.

This Tug was designed and built to International Standard and fully certificated to BV Classification the actual notation being Class1 + Hull + Mach “Tug”. This vessel has been designed and built to allow its owner to have a degree of comfort as to its various roles.

This kind of vessel is usually to be found undertaking tows for extended period of time and the designers were quick to ensure the Crew were as comfortable as possible whilst they were at sea.
That is why the ship has been fitted out with Cabins rather than the old Dormitory style.

When you undertake long tows you are all to aware that the safety of the men, the ship and of course what you are towing all rely on the equipment on board to fight fire and to save lives. This vessel had to have a requirement for Class but the designers took the decision they would build this vessel to be fully self sufficient. There are alarms, fire monitors, safety equipment all over the ship.
