Engines
This 14m multi purpose workboat is powered by a very reliable and economical single 168hp DAG 615 turbo diesel engine. This engine is coupled to a twin disc gearbox with a 3:1 reduction ratio and drives a 4 bladed ice reinforced prop. This configuration allows you to cruise at a speed of around 9 knots.
This engine has only logged around 1200 hours to date with the Deutz 16 Kva gen set having less than 1000 hours on the clock.

Construction
You will without a doubt struggle to find any workboat that is as solidly built as this one. The beauty of buying a boat that was designed for the government is that you know cost was never an issue. As a result of this, the stringers onboard are approximately 30cm or 1ft apart and the stringers themselves are approximately 10cm in diameter. This makes the boat very very strong for coming alongside piers, pontoons or other boats etc.

Accomodation
Onboard this multipurpose workboat you will find accommodation for 2 of a crew as well as a well equipped galley and heads compartment.
Decking Equipment
This workboat can fulfil many contracts thanks to equipment such as the manually operated bow door, 3 ton deck crane with a 6m reach and the 5.6m “A” frame with a 10 ton lifting capacity.
You also have equipment such as search lights, anchor winches, salvage pumps etc with plenty of room for specialist equipment to be installed if required.
