Engines

This Sun Dance Marine 26 + 2 is powered by twin Mercury EFI Offshore 200hp Outboards. These engines have been serviced every 100 hours and have only 845 hours logged to date. The owner of this boat has enjoyed endless of hours of trouble free cruising and insists on using only the best oil and parts on his engines.

These engines in turn give an economical and comfortable cruising speed of around 25 knots and can reach speeds of around 48 knots when required.

For extra performance, these engines are fitted with Mercury 21P 4 bladed Offshore Stainless Steel props with a performance vent system. You will also find spare Mercury stainless steel props in the console with prop mounts.

Construction

You may think at first glance this boat is only 26ft long and too small for your cruising grounds. However, when you look more closely you will soon see this is possibly the most seaworthy 26 footer in the world.

With a 35” freeboard, a transom dead rise of 24 degrees and a 33 degree super v hull; this is a very fast and capable offshore cruiser.

Accomodation

This Sun Dance Marine 26 has the perfect layout for offering you and your guests the best in offshore fishing or diving. The well balanced layout with clear deck space gives the boat great speed and stability and will be able to take you to your cruising grounds in style and comfort.

The centre consol has a Sea Hunt radar arch that gives not only great protection from the weather, be it sun or rain but also houses much of the equipment onboard. The forward deck is flush in with the cockpit making cleaning very easy, especially removing fish scales etc. At the bow you will find pop up spring and bow cleats as well as a recessed bow rail.

The seating onboard is all made with a waterproof material and again is easy clean for hosing down the salt water etc. The consol seat itself also has storage underneath to keep your valuable safe and dry. At the helm you will find approximately 6ft headroom with custom knee and floor pads for extra comfort on long range cruises. The instrumentation panel is recessed with a lockable sliding door giving a very clear display but remaining secure at all times.

When it comes to fishing, everything you could possibly need is onboard. From blue water rocket launchers, rod holders to a 45 gallon live well for either fresh bait or catch of the day. Along the gunnels of the boat you will also find rod holders and an equipment storage box forward. With five flush mounted rod holders and two arch mounted rod holders, not to mention the Rupp Radial Top Gun black outriggers and the Electra-Mate 920XP electric reel…..I am sure the catch of the day will always be bigger and better each time you go to sea.

As for the divers, this boat offers a commercial dive platform with a 4 step removable ladder. To help divers get in and out the water, a custom stainless lift handle was installed on the transom. The boat is also equipped with underwater florescent lights and a tank rack is available to clip on to the rocket launchers.

You can also turn the bow area into a double berth or sun bed with large cushions available and there are canvas covers included to turn the bow into a cabin with a portable heads onboard as well.

By separate agreement, there is also a 4-stage gas dive compressor with custom transom mount available.

Decking Equipment

As part of the deck equipment onboard, you will find a Fortress FX-11 anchor with chocks as well as 6ft of stainless 5/16 chain and 300 ft of nylon line.

This boat also has various cockpit and canvas covers including:-

• Navy Blue Sunbrella covers and canvas.
• Forward in the bow is a removable dodger top with zip out window and screen forward.
• Aft is a zip out full screen and solid cover for privacy.
• The dodger snaps in with stainless steel tubes and stows in its canvas bag.
• The console has a snap on instrument cover and a full console / rocket launcher cover for overnight or day use while travelling.
• The entire boat has a full cover including engine covers and a storage bag.
• The arch is fully covered, including a brow cover and folding bimini, with adjustable stainless rods.
• The console windshield rolls down from the arch and features a U-zip window.
• Isinglass zip in, side windows shrouding the console protects you from heavy rain.

Navigation Equipment

The owner of this boat has done everything he can to equip and prepare this boat for serious offshore cruising. As a result, the electronics onboard were completely upgraded and includes the following:-

Furuno Black Box Navnet System

This system is an all in one unit that offers a 1933 CBB 48 mile radar, GP-320B GPS with C-Map NT+ chart plotter built in. This unit also has an ETR-6/10N 600/1000 Watt network depth sounder with dual Furuno / Airmar 525T-TMD and 235DST-PWE transducers. These transducers provide high speed accuracy of water temperature, speed and depth. The 235 provides tenths accuracy in shallow water and the high power 525 provides soundings to 5000 feet. This system also allows you to connect a DVD player or video cameras if required.

This boat is also equipped with a Simrad AP20 Autopilot that is interfaced with the Navnet system to help steer your boat to your destination. This has also proved to be very useful if you and your friends are interested in trawling. The boat can hold a steady course while you and your friends attend to the catch of the day.
