Manufactured in 1988 by Sabre in GRP, this 42 Ft sloop has been designed to exacting standards for serious sailors. For example there are four stainless cowl vents, twelve ports and eight hatches and all of them with replaced gaskets in 2003. This allows plenty of ventilation when required and yet they all extremely watertight when locked closed.
A good judge of whether a yacht is a Marina yacht or one designed to be used by the serious sailor is the steps leading down to the saloon. If they are narrow and flimsy they cannot be used in an open water scenario. That is why when you look at the stair leading down to the saloon in a Sabre yacht you see instantly how well the designers have thought this vessel out.
A new bow pulpit and new lifelines were installed in 2005.
The combination of teak wooden finish and white laminate finish gives a warm ambiance that is easily cleaned and kept clean. The fresh headlining again adds to the bright, yet warm feeling for your guests to enjoy whilst on board.

FORWARD CABIN
In any yacht the Forward Cabin has to sacrifice some space to make way for the bow. Sabre realised this and designed it to not only facilitate the bow but to provide one of the best forward cabins of any vessel this size.
•First the bed itself. It is a massive 70 x 80 Ins mattress allowing the occupants a good nights sleep in comfort.
•There is a bench to sit on whilst getting dressed and a wash hand basis with hot and cold running water to freshen up in the morning. The sink has a vanity mirror as well for personal grooming.
•Ventilation is provided by the TWO ports, TWO small hatches, ONE large hatch and of course a 12 volt fan with dual set controls.
•Storage is again easily described as copious with four drawers and two small lockers as well as a shelf on both sides.
AFT CABIN
Sabre have managed to combine solid, sea worthy design without losing sight of the comforts and the Aft Cabin is a good example of this. There is a Queen sized bed with three storage areas beneath to allow you to get a good nights sleep.
To help you sleep there are no less than FIVE ports, ONE hatch and ONE 12volt fan to allow you to ventilate the area sufficiently. The clever use of Teak and white laminate keeps the whole cabin bright but there is an additional lighting with two overhead lights and two bedside lights.
Storage on board is always a good definition of the use intended by the designer of the boat. So there is no guessing what this designer thought when he put no less than NINE enclosed compartments, hanging locker, storage under the bench seat and a 7 Ft long shelf for all your personal belongings.
SALOON
The Saloon on board this 42 Ft Sabre Sloop is one of the most spacious we have seen for a long time. It has two settee seating arrangements and plenty of space in between. The clever use of the space has been shown with the lockable cupboard on both sides.
There is storage behind the settee cushions AND there is storage under the settees as well. There are four enclosed cupboards and four drawers in the saloon.
Entertainment is from the Television on the starboard side and a stereo on the port side. The speakers are repeated up on deck so you can still listen when you are sailing along.
The teak floor with the occasional carpet allowing the space to be emphasised.
