Engines

This Moody 38 is powered by a Perkins Prima 50hp diesel inboard. This is coupled to a reduction gearbox and stainless steel shaft turning a 3 bladed Max propeller. The beauty of having this power is that should the wind die on you or should you have to get somewhere in a hurry, you have plenty of power to turn this yacht into a motor cruiser and get you all home safe and sound.

The prop is fitted with a rope cutter and gives you that extra confidence that should any ropes get caught on the prop, the yacht should be able to free itself quickly.

For extra manoeuvrability, this yacht is also equipped with a powerful bow thrusters unit. This has proved to be extremely useful in Mediterranean berthing.

For power onboard, you have a combination of 220v shore power, 220v battery charger and 3 batteries, a Prowatt Invertor or a 4Kva Generator. No matter where you are, whether ashore or at sea, there is always plenty of ways of generating power onboard.

Accomodation

This Moody 38 is so spacious onboard; you could easily use this yacht as a liveaboard. With 2 double en-suite cabins, you and your guests can relax onboard whether you are at sea or in the marina.

The saloon offers a drop leaf table making this a very open area as well as doubling up as a great dining area as well. As this yacht is designed for being at sea for days if not weeks at a time, you have a fully equipped galley onboard for preparing all your favourite meals.
