Engines

MAIN ENGINES
When you operate a vessel with this potential you have to have the confidence that you can get the engines serviced at the next port wherever that may be in the world. That is why when the manufacturers chose to use the most available spares and selected the 2 x CAT 3516TA engines each producing 1710 BHP at just 1600rpm. The 3420 BHP powers down the shaft to the twin 4 bladed fixed pitch propellers fitted with Kort nozzles.

It is all very well having this power but being a support vessel it also has to have manoeuvrability and that is where the rest of the engine room shines with this vessel.

GENERATORS
To keep spares as simple as possible the Gen Sets are also powered by Cat and the twin CAT 3408TA Gen Sets each deliver 280kW.

Accomodation

This vessel is like a floating city as it has all the power, electronics, accommodation and equipment on board to allow it to function completely autonomously and independently in the most remote areas of the world as well as protect the oil and gas industry that life so much depends on.

HELM – the nerve centre and control centre has been designed for the vessel to be used in complete safety whether supplying the latest oil rig or researching some isolated location far from civilisation. Fitted with not only the latest technology but also the most instantly recognisable of “Names” for that equipment. Again as we have stated earlier all you have to do is take a look at the photographs and you will see why this vessel has to be one of the most desirable on the market today anywhere in the world.

GALLEY – if you are going to have a ship running with VIP guests on board you will be instantly aware of the importance of ensuring that you provide a standard of living commensurate with their status. That is why the galley on this ship has every piece of equipment to prepare the simplest of meals to the most adventurous. Designed to be easy cleaned with melamine walls and stainless steel worktops and equipment hygiene will not be hard to maintain to make sure your guests have nothing to fear from the food preparation on board YOUR vessel.

VIP WORKSTATION – If you are going to have VIP guests on board they are going to want privacy and somewhere where there latest computer technology can be used in safety and space to hold meetings with the rest of their team. That is why this vessel has designated areas to be used specifically for this purpose.

CABINS – at the end of the day your guests are going to catch up on some hard earned sleep (well at least your guests will think it is hard earned). Again to keep the maintenance simple the vessel is fitted with easy clean melamine wall and ceilings. The cabins are single berth en suite and have storage built in for your guests to make them feel at home.

CREW CABINS – more or less the same the same as the GUEST cabins but with four sleeping in port and starboard bunk beds.

MESS ROOMS – anyone who has spent time on board will realise the importance of a warm friendly Mess Room. Every member on board has a role to play and when they are performing that role it is usually in isolation from everyone else. So when you get some time off it is human nature to seek out the company of others and that is when they all congregate in the Mess Room. The Mess rooms on board both Crew and Officers are finished of to be bright clean and friendly places to relax and enjoy a coffee with fellow travellers in this mini city vessel.

ENGINE ROOM – On a lot of these vessels there is no room designated to the Chief Engineer to keep an eye on the gauges that allow him to monitor the powerplant. This vessel is different. He can sit in comfort and know exactly what is happening to every part of the ship.
