Engines

Wright International Ltd has been very fortunate to have been out at sea in a number of yachts in a variety of conditions. The one thing we have learned from this is the importance of having a powerful engine onboard for those times where the wind dies down or when you are in a hurry home.

Dehler obviously agree with this philosophy as they have installed a very reliable and economical Yanmar 3JH2(B) engine producing 47hp. This engine has been serviced and maintained on a regular basis and has only clocked an average of 75 hours per season.

This engine gives a cruising speed of 5.7 knots @ 2000rpm or a maximum speed of 8.5 knots @ 2500rpm. The yacht is propelled by a 3 bladed fixed blade prop but also comes complete with a spare 2 blade prop just in case.

In order to help assist in close quarter manoeuvring, a bow thruster unit was installed in 2004.

Accomodation

This yacht offers the perfect balance of being a very spacious and comfortable family cruiser as well as being a very capable and sea worthy passage maker. Down below, you will find accommodation for 6 guests in 3 cabins. You will also find a very large and open saloon and galley that seat 8 in comfort.

The navigation station is conveniently located just below the hatch to allow easy communications with the helmsman and crew. For extra comfort and privacy, there are also 2 heads compartments with full facilities including a shower and toilet.

This is a yacht that you will enjoy reaching your destination almost as much as being at your destination. In port or at sea, this is a very comfortable and spacious family yacht.

Sails and Rigging

The rigging on this yacht has all been specifically designed for performance cruising in practically any weather conditions. As such, you will find the following onboard:-

The sails themselves are all Elvstrom sails including a fully battened mainsail, self-tacking furling jib and an asymmetric spinnaker. The sails are all controlled from a number of winches including 2 x Harken 44EST 2-speed self-tailing electric sheet winches with switches on both the helm pedestal and outboard of wheel on cockpit coaming. As well as this, there is also a Lewmar 30ST 2-speed self-tailing halyard winch on the mast.
