MAIN ENGINE
When any vessel with this kind of range is being designed the major criteria for the machine list is the ability to service what you have installed in it. That is why this designer chose not to look at cost but rather to select ALL equipment so that it could be serviced in any major port.

This vessel is powered by twin CAT 3512 engines with each of them producing 1575 BHP at 1600rpm. The 3150 BHP is transmitted through the gearbox down to the shafts to the two 4 blade FPP manganese bronze propellers fitted within Kort nozzles.

AUXILLARY ENGINES
The designer selected twin Cummins 6CTA8.3DM each producing 220 BHP at 1500rpm.
