This yacht has one of the most popular of engines for a vessel of its size. The ever reliable Volvo Penta MD30 is a 65 HP diesel engine. As everyone knows the main feature of these engines is that they only burn 4.5L / Hr at normal cruising speed. This allows it to be used for manoeuvring or to get you home if the wind suddenly drops. This vessel has the 3 blade variable propeller to reduce drag when not in use.

When you think of Blue Water Yachting you automatically think of Oyster. Over half the Oyster yachts sold are to repeat orders from existing customers. There are not many manufacturers in the world that can boast of this excellence. So when the company made this vessel you know it was made with pride, dedication and skill, that has earned a rightful place in history. Built in March 1984 the Oyster 435 exudes style, strength and ocean going pedigree just by its superb construction.
This yacht hull was built to Lloyd’s 100 A1 specification and it has a GRP hull and superstructure. The decks are laid in teak with exterior teak trims to match. This allows you to walk round the boat in safety especially when the decks are wet. The whole boat was given a major rebuild in 2002 and this included for preventative measures the hull being epoxied.
If you manage to get on board an Oyster you will instantly be aware just how silent the engine runs. This is largely due to the excellent sound insulation in the engine compartment itself.
