Most countries are withdrawing the tax incentive to run red diesel but what they cannot take away is the added safety diesel has over petrol. It is also a fact that most European Marinas do not have petrol readily available so the convenience of running diesels is also a prime consideration.This is the latest design to come out of the market leaders using the latest technology to lower emissions and maximize power at the same time. The 4 cylinder D4-225 has fuel injection, double overhead camshafts, 4 valves per cylinder, turbocharger, compressor and aftercooler producing 168kw (225BHP). Unlike most diesel engines, this engine still delivers very powerful acceleration but without the tell tail diesel smoke. Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) fitted to this engine provides the latest technology to control the engine response to make sailing this yacht easier and safer. The power is transmitted down to the DP-S Duoprop drive unit. The duoprop drive has twin counter rotating bronze propellers providing an unbeatable combination in terms of speed, acceleration, steering, manoeuvring, fuel economy, noise and vibration. Finally the drive unit is equipped with hydraulic power trim tabs to allow you to enjoy the best running position at whatever speed and weather conditions you find yourself in.

The whole concept of this MADE IN ITALY by COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30 is to allow you to fun in complete safety and at the same time enjoy “Being Costa dell`EST”. If you respect the sea sailing can be the best sport in the world. COSTA dell`EST manufacture all their boats to ensure you enjoy risk free sailing and enjoy taking your family and friends out in the comfort and luxury you would expect from an Italian designed yacht.

Each model is designed by experienced engineers using the latest CAD-CAM equipment. Using this equipment they generate a 3D image, before building a 1:1 model of the creation. The ACRUX 30 has been designed this way and its deep “V” design hull and hydro lift skates produce a stable, comfortable way to enjoy the wave impact even in choppy waters. To honour the Italian name every intrinsic detail must be worked out prior to installation. It must be functional and yet exude the same luxury found in every other part of the vessel. Then a list of OPTIONS must be prepared to allow the “Buyer” to individualise the boat he is buying without losing the COSTA dell`EST identity.

This MADE IN ITALY by COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30 has an extremely high basic specification that you have to look closely to decide on what your options are going to be to personalise it to your taste. •Hull Design – When you live the COSTA dell`EST experience you realise that every aspect of the vessel has been designed to surround you and your guests in comfort, safety and style. So when it came to designing the hull it was important that you have a hull that was safe, stable and controlled even in a choppy sea. That is where the COSTA dell`EST deep “V” design with the hydro-lift trim tabs allowing the boat to be controlled in most sea states.

The COSTA dell`EST hull is manufactured with the latest yachting technology and has the innovative characteristic of being laminated for inherent strength. As you know the lamination process involves the hull being constructed in several layers. The manufacturing materials of gelcoat, glass resin, 300 – 400 – 800 and “Termanto”, provide a safe durable base for ACRUX 30 to simply glide through the waves.

Because COSTA dell`EST yachts are individually hand made for each customer, then no two yachts will be identical in design or finish. The lamination process and the in-house paint plant allows you to even select the colour of your hull. The choice continues as YOUR yacht is made for YOU by allowing to select the floor finish, colour of curtains, colour of the leather for the soft furnishings.

•Deck – what makes any MADE IN ITALY Yacht stand out in the Marina is the attention to detail that the manufacturers put in to their construction. These COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30 yachts have made sure every detail has been thought out and not just mass produced. This is evident with the whole vessel from start to finish. The first thing you see when you walk along the pontoon is the HULL and the fine elegant lines that exude MADE IN ITALY.

The ACRUX 30 is individually hand made and the laminated construction allows the artisans to incorporate in features with an elegance and purpose seldom found in yachts of the size. Take the bathing platform as an example. It does not protrude past the hull it is incorporated in the hull. Most Mediterranean marinas require you to reverse in and walk off the bathing platform. Being part of the hull means you do not have the situation where the platform fouls on the pontoon.

For safety there is a gate into the open cockpit and again this gate has laminated glass incorporated to allow the gate to be functional and serve the purpose it is designed to do, without detracting from the effect generated by the rest of the open cockpit.

Nearly all open top sports boats have removable cushions. COSTA dell`EST designed the cushions to not only be removable, but made in a yellow leather to be soft and comfortable to lie on as you cruise along in the azure blue waters and warm sunshine. Again one look at the clever foresight the Italian Designer came up with shows the chaise lounge with its integral headrest is also sculptured to a comfortable angle, allowing the adjacent hull to act as a safety barrier for the occupier.

Both the Pilot and Navigator have also the comfort of the same sumptuous materials on their bench seats. The stern sofa has an integral headrest that covers the back of the seat for additional safety as well as comfort. It is however the front cushions that exude MADE IN ITALY when the light yellow leather covered closed cell foam cushions have been shaped to leave the hatch uncovered, allowing the natural light to filter down into the saloon even with two person enjoying the comfort on deck.

The Italians love to touch and feel almost as though they do not believe what their eyes are seeing. So when you guests come on board they will have run their fingers over the sumptuous light yellow leather covered closed cell foam cushions of the open cockpit soft furnishings. This was only the aperitif to set the scene for what they were to find when they go below.

As you descend the rich Cherry wood steps with true Italian curved newels, you find yourself mesmerised by the combination natural light, rich soft furnishings and warm craftsmanship of the Cherry wood and Tanganic finish. Like a child they do not know what to look at first.

It is the both the method and nature of the cuisine that elevates the host in the eyes of the guests on board. So when Eng C.Cognetti designed this Galley he knew he had to take cognisance of this and design one that would be proud to carry the MADE IN ITALY - by COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30 name.

There is double cooking top mounted on a crystal base with an integral round sink. The Vittri Frigo fridge comes to keep the Prosecco Wine at the correct temperature.

It is the clever use of space that makes this galley stand out with its three drawers, three shelves and two holders all incorporated and finished in the same opulent rich warm Cherry wood and Tanganic finish as the rest of the yacht.

•Heads – On some boats this is a very sensitive area as it can be rather embarrassing when your guests ask to use the Heads and find a dingy, smelly cubicle with no headroom and not even a proper WC. That was unless you were on a MADE IN ITALY - by COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30. Open the door on an ACRUX 30 and you find you have full standing headroom. That is not unusual but what is unusual is the magnificent way in which the designers have used their Italian panache to the full. There is a full sized electric WC with a modern elegance, but it is the wash hand basin that exudes Italian manufacture. Where else on a yacht of this value would you find such style as to have a one piece blown jade coloured toughened glass sink. A mirror has been built into the vanity unit to allow you to see what you are doing at the sink. It is mounted in such a way as to allow the use of “designer” taps and chrome plug. The shower allows you to relax at the end of the day or just freshen up at the start of a new one. To comply with both CE and RCD regulations there is a holding tank incorporated into the system with an integral electric discharge.

•Cabins – This vessel has two cabins and sleeps four persons in style and comfort normally the reserve of much larger yachts. There are two cabins on board plus the saloon.

The ceiling is covered in a soft white leather providing both a bright and cosy ambiance to the whole cabin. The King sized bed is again a feature that only the Italians would dream of installing on a boat of this size. The cabin is finished off in the same rich, warm Cheery wood and Tanganic finish to the full size wardrobe and two drawer units. At night you are caressed by the warm glow from the halogen spotlights.

Aft Cabin
COSTA dell`EST wants everyone to live the COSTA dell`EST experience and so when the designer came to the aft cabin he finished it with the same panache and elegance afforded the Owners Stateroom. Now when your guests are on board your COSTA dell`EST ACRUX 30 they can experience the whole sensation as they enjoy the comforts of the aft cabin. The cabin is bright and the opulence exudes from everywhere you look. The rich warm Cherry wood and Tanganic furniture befits the ACRUX 30 with consummate ease. The ceiling is covered in a soft white leather providing both a bright and cosy ambiance to the whole cabin. The aft cabin has two single beds built in with a style only the Italians are capable of doing in yacht of this size. The cabin is finished off in the same rich, warm Cheery wood and Tanganic finish to the full size wardrobe and two drawer units. At night your guests are also caressed by the warm glow from the halogen spotlights.
