MAIN ENGINES
This 6500 DWT Oil Tanker has the luxury of being powered by not one but two Daihatsu heavy duty engines rated at 1500KW (2011 BHP) at 750rpm. The power is transmitted through the reverse / reduction gearboxes to the two fixed pitch manganese bronze four bladed propellers. Each propeller being 3000mm Dia with a rating of 200 rpm. The engines are designed to operate on high viscosity fuel oil 180 Cst at 50 Deg C with a consumption rate of just 13.7 Tonnes per 24 Hrs. This means that it can cruise at 12 Knots and still have over 5000 N Mile range. Being unrestricted in navigation this allows this vessel to operate anywhere in the world for its owners.
STERN TUBES : the stern tubes will be oil lubricated bearings of synthetic materials such as Thordon or Raiko.
TAIL SHAFTS: The tail shafts shall be manufactured from forged steel and shall be supplied with couplings arranged for outboard withdrawal of the shafts.
GENERATORS
There are three Gen Sets on this vessel and they are all marine diesel. The designers decided to rate all three the same and that is:-
320 KW ( 430 BHP) 450v 3 Phase 60 Hz at 1800 rpm. The fuel consumption figures for the Gen Sets are 1.5 Tonne per 24 Hours at sea and 2.8 Tonne per 24 hours when in port (when discharging the cargo).
AUXILIARY BOILER : There will be one auxiliary boiler with a 4 Tons per hour capacity provided to generate steam for general cargo service and cargo heating system.
EXHAUST GAS BOILER: One exhaust gas boiler shall be provided to supply the steam for general service from heat available at normal sea going condition.
INCINERATOR: A vessel of this size will generate an amount of waste and rather than store or worse dump it at sea an incerator has been installed to dispose of it properly.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT: By the same principle the amount of personel will generate sewage and there the designers have built in a sewage treatment plant of sufficient capacity that will be certified to comply with MARPOL Annex 1V requirements.
BOW THRUSTER: This twin screw 6500 DWT Oil Tanker will have one 37 Kn electrically driven CPP Bow Thruster installed and will be powered the auxiliary Generators. The Bow Thruster will be a Kawasaki KT32B. what is interesting is this vessel has been designed to turn through 180 Deg in not more than 2 minutes, as per Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore standards for Port Limits Bunker Tanker Class 1.

The world is calling out for Oil Tankers to deliver and to transport Oil around the world. This is an ideal feeder vessel as it can carry three different types on the one trip. This is achieved by :-
Segregate 1 :- No 1 Cargo Tank (P & S)
No 4 Cargo Tank (P & S)
Segregate 2 :- No 2 Cargo Tank (P & S)
No 5 Cargo Tank (P & S)
Segregate 3: No 3 Cargo Tank (P & S)
BUNKERAGE
Cargo Tanks ---------------------------------------------- 7,300 m3
Slop tanks ------------------------------------------------- 270 m3
Fresh Water Tanks ------------------------------------- 130 m3
Marine Diesel Oil ---------------------------------------- 170 m3

COATED TANKS
When Wright International Ltd said we were working with a quality yard we meant it. ALL the Cargo Tanks will carry a FIVE YEAR Guarantee as the tanks have been internally coated with epoxy paint that is resistant to the cargo they are carrying.
HEATING COILS
The designers recognised the importance of having to ability to use heating coils and have built in stainless steel heating coils to ALL cargo tanks and slop tanks.
BALLAST TANKS
Quality is something that comes from doing that which is not required but could be beneficial in the long run. The Ballast tanks have also been internally epoxy coated and will again be guaranteed for FIVE years. The double hull ballast tanks will also be fitted with gas detectors even though they are not required to do so under the Class rules. Anything that enhances safety is always welcome and when our yard recognised the importance they did it anyway.
GAUGING SYSTEM
It goes without saying that all the tanks will be fitted with a gauging system. The Cargo Tanks will have a radar type system and the ballast tanks will have pressure sensors fitted.
CARGO TANK SENSOR SYSTEM
The high temperature alarm system will individually monitor each tank and have the alarms related back to bridge.
PUMPS
•2 x Main Cargo Oil Pumps – screw type self priming complete with mechanical seals. 750 m3 per hour x 80m driven by the main engines through a pneumatic clutch and gas tight bulkhead seals.
•1 x Aux Cargo Oil Pumps – again will be screw type, self priming complete with mechanical seal. 300m3 per hour x 80m driven by electric motor in engine room with gas tight bulkhead seal. This pump shall also be used as cargo stripping pump. The pump will have soft start or autotransformer start.
•2 x Ballast Pumps – these pumps will be horizontal centrifugal rated at 200m3 per hour x 40m with intermediate shaft and bulkhead seals driven by electric motors in engine room.
CRANE
The vessel is fitted with a 2 Tons SWL x 26m cargo hose boom located approximately midships
The vessel will be provided with Two (2) davit launched totally enclosed, GRP. motor lifeboats each of 20 persons capacity. One of these will be designated as a rescue boat.
