Engines

MAIN ENGINE
Wherever you are in the world there is never enough time. Everyone wants you to deliver the 12 Passengers as fast as you can and they want you to own a reliable vessel to make sure you turn up when you are supposed to. That is why the designers of this superb vessel have went for the ever reliable and easily maintained Cummins 6CTA8.3M engines rated at 350 BHP each. These in-line 6 cylinder engines with their 114mm Bore x 135mm stroke are both turbocharged and aftercooled. Working at up to 2500rpm they are extremely economical and have low emissions to keep the environmentalists happy. The power is transferred through the box, down the shaft to the Ni-Al Bronze 4 bladed 660mm Dia propellers. This combination allows the vessel to operate at a Cruising speed of 20 Knots and a Maximum speed of 27 Knots.

AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT
This may be a relatively small passenger vessel but the manufacturers working with their Naval Architect decided not to cut corners and installed not one but two Generators. The Gen Sets they selected for reliability and compatibility were the 2 x 9EFOZ Kohler Marine Diesel Generators. These generators are rated at 15kva, 12v single phase.

Construction

Following in the concept of only working with quality yards producing quality vessels, it will come as no surprise that the quality of these vessels is outstanding. Manufactured in Aluminium Alloy Grade 6061 – T6 or 6082 – T6 and designed and built to comply with Bureau Veritas. The hull is fabricated from a welded aluminium alloy and the designers have built in no less than FOUR watertight frames. The wheelhouse is again aluminium tampered with toughened glass windows in their own frames.

Accomodation

This vessel has been designed to be used for short sea passages and yet has all the comforts of much larger vessels. The normal layout has the passenger facing forward in their aircraft type seating which is fire protected and designed for heavy duty use.

Forward is the Crew saloon with two berths with a table between them.

A toilet with WC and hot and cold running water in the wash hand basin is fitted for comfort of the passengers and crew.

If you look at the photographs you will also see we have 2 x 1200 BTU Daiken split air conditioning.
