One of the many advantages of this ship is the large engine room. This engine room has great access and contains all the original Crossley machinery making this an ideal enthusiast’s boat.
The engine is slow revving and very quite with loads of life left in the old girl yet. The owners have renovated this engine including fitting new fuel pumps and it runs like a dream.
The engine is direct reverse started and reversed by air from twin insured and certified air receivers. The engine controls are all duplicated in the wheelhouse and can reach speeds of around 8 knots at only 300rpm.
There is also a Crossley BV1 auxiliary engine rated at approximately 30hp with a hydraulic start system. This engine has been fully rebuilt and is used to provide the 24v electric systems.
