24m Crew Boat

Wright International Ltd is delighted to announce our latest addition to our already successful range of CREW BOATS. This boat has been designed and built specifically for a very valued customer of Wright International Ltd. Designed to carry 24 Passengers and six crew at speeds of up to 25 knots, this vessel answers most requirements for Crew Boats for offshore operations.

Powered by twin Caterpillar 3412E engines which has been designed with a cruising speed of around 18 knots and maximum speed of 25 knots. What has separated this vessel from all our other vessels is the attention to detail put in by our Naval Architect. As an example the power is transmitted through ZF 3000A gearboxes as the performance curve with this combination is exactly what our customer is looking for. The electronics have been kept simple but extremely functional as the twin Raymarine E120 fully incorporate Radar, GPS Plotter facility, Echo-sounder and CCTV allowing the Captain to know exactly what he wants from his high quality Norsap hydraulically dampened leather helm seat.

The crew accommodation area is accessed via a staircase from the passenger seating area and there is a staircase leading to the crew mess area. The air conditioned crew accommodation area contains 4 self contained cabins with bunks and lockers. A separate toilet shower cubicle with pressurised toilet, wash basin and shower. The main cargo deck is lined with 1.75” thick sapapura hardwood timber. The cargo deck has a minimum load carrying capacity of 20 tonnes.

Wright International Ltd can arrange for this vessel to be built for you in less than NINE MONTHS and all you have to is contact either Robert or Greig and leave the rest to Wright International Ltd.

Engines

Machinery
The main propulsion machinery consists of twin diesel Caterpillar 3412E engines, each engine is separately served by its own filtered sea water connection for cooling purposes. The engines are fitted on strong bearers and mounted on vibration proof mountings. Drip trays are provided under each engine to provide 110% of all engine cooling and lubrication fluids. Good access is allowed around each engine unit to enable inspections, cleaning, routine maintenance and minor repairs to be performed.

The engines are started by keyed ignition switches mounted on the helmsman’s control panel. A single pole isolation switch is provided for each engine in the engine space to prevent accidental starting of the engines when work is being conducted on the units.

A clutch operated engine driven bilge pump is fitted, drawing from a bilge main and discharging overboard. The pump is also able to draw water from a filtered sea water supply to provide water for a fire and deck wash main.

The main engines are fitted with alternator units (engine maker supply) charging 4 12-volt batteries each, linked in series to provide a split 24-volt system, starter batteries/boat load batteries.
