MAIN ENGINES
As with most of these Crew Boats this vessel has been fitted with THREE engines to allow the owner to get the personnel out to the drop off point and back as soon as possible. With the huge scarcity of engines around the world there are manufacturers who will use anything they can get. That is why we are delighted to be able to report this vessel is a QUALITY built vessel and has nothing but the best equipment installed throughout.

The engines in this case are the ever reliable Cummins KTA range and rated as follows:-

3 x Cummins KTA38 M2 engines rated at 1350BHP @1900rpm. These V-12 4 stroke diesel engines have 159mm Bore x 159mm Stroke cylinders and are both turbocharged and aftercooled.

Construction

Manufactured in Marine Grade Aluminium and built to comply with ABS + A1 HSC + AMS “Crewboat” – Maximum significant wave height 3 Metres. Designed to carry 58 Passenger + Crew with a Freedeck Space 75m2 with a deck strength of 2T/m2 and a payload of up to 70 Tonnes.

Given that these vessels often have to work way offshore this manufacturer has even installed 3 sets of Reefer plugs.

BOW THRUSTER
Some of the contracts require these vessels to have bow thrusters even though they have three engines. Again pre-empting this, the manufacturers have installed a 75kw electro hydraulic bow thruster.

Accomodation

This vessel has been designed for the passengers to be conveyed to the drop off point in relative comfort and that is why all 58 passengers have reclining seats c/w food trays. Toilets, showers and a galley are on this level to provide light provision en route to the drop of point.

There is also one cabin with two bunks and Crew accommodation of 8 in 4 cabins.

The mess room has a galley and seating for the crew of eight.
