MAIN ENGINE
When you design a vessel like this you have to be aware it is going to spend a lot of time at sea and being an Ocean boat you are also aware it has to have a sensible range. That is why we are delighted to be able to report that this vessel has an outstanding range of 15000 nautical miles.
Powered by a single Hitachi-Man B&W 6S35MC two stroke engine which delivers 5951BHP at just 173rpm. This single acting, crosshead, direct reversible, turbocharged engine has 6 cylinders with 350mm Bore x 1470mm Stroke. This engines fulfils the IMO NOx emission Laws. The power is transmitted through the gearbox down the shaft to the single Nickel Aluminium Bronze aerodynamic section keyless right handed propeller.
ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT
3 x 4 stroke, single acting, trunk piston engines each coupled to alternator. These Gen Sets produce about 420kW, AC, 400V, 3 Phase/50 Hertz.

Designed as an Ocean Going, single screw, double skin BULK CARRIER. The Naval Architects have designed this vessel to be used for the transportation of various products including:
•DRY BULK – grain, metal concentrates, iron ore, scrap metal, coal, bauxite, salt and sugar.
•GENERAL CARGO – machineries, hot coil, forest products, packaged and palletised cargo
•LONG CARGO- such as pipes, bagged cement, bagged cargoes, timber, logs
•DANGEROUS CARGO- as per IMDG of item 4.1,4.2, 5.1, based on natural ventilation.
The vessel to have one complete flush upper deck with forecastle, raked stem with bulbous bow, transom stern and open water type of stern frame. The Cargo will be carried in four cargo holds. The hatch cover to be folding type, hydraulic operated and secured by quick acting cleats manually. The hatch cover to be designed for loads as required by the Class Rules Additional strengthening for partially filled hold to not be considered.

SAFETY
Safety at sea can never be taken for granted that is why when the Naval Architects of this vessel decided which Class to build to they also built in added safety features as standard. SOLAS will be provided and all safety equipment will be fully up to date when the vessel is launched.
LIFE BOAT AND LAUNCHING APPLIANCE
1 x free fall type totally enclosed lifeboats for total 25 persons with launching appliance to be fitted on after part of vessel. The lifeboat to be made of glass-reinforced plastic and provided with a fixed diesel engine. The lifeboat to be supplied with inventory and spare parts required by the Rules. The launching appliance to be of one steel cradle for housing the free falling lifeboat at fixed angle, complete with:
•hoisting frame operated by hydraulic cylinders
•guiding rollers on both sides
•power pack electric operated
The release mechanism is operated from the inside of the boat by acting on a brake capable of lowering by gravity fully equipped boat with persons on board at a velocity automatically regulated and ship trimmed and heeled according to SOLAS.
RESCUE BOAT AND DAVIT
1 x rescue boat according to the SOLAS rules to be fitted on starboard of A deck.
It to be made of glass-reinforced plastic. Electrically operated single arm davit to be provided. The davit to be capable of hoisting the rescue boat when loaded with rescue boat complement 6 persons and equipment.
INFLATABLE LIFERAFT
•1 x set of davit launcher type twenty-five (25) persons inflatable liferaft in GRP containers to be installed on A deck starboard side. The davit launched liferafts to be operated by single arm davit (common davit with rescue boat).
