Wright International Ltd is delighted to be able to offer this superb workhorse direct from Designer / Manufacturer. Manufactured in the United Kingdom in aluminium and designed to be used in the Windfarm, Fishfarm, Workboat, Supply Vessel, Passenger Vessel or any other function that a 16m Aluminium Fast Catamaran can be put to. Priced for construction to SFIA / MCA standards, this vessel has been constructed not on price but on durability and longevity for the owner. Everyone knows the every day workings for these vessels usually involve heavy loads being carried and that is when you find the difference between a good yard and a yard building on a budget. There is nothing on this vessel built with cost as the deciding factor.
The Manufacturer can work with you to engage whichever engine manufacturer best suits you. The choice selected for this specification is the Caterpillar C9 marine diesel engines. The twin 510BHP in line 6 cylinder 4 stroke engines with their 112mm bore x 149mm stroke will allow this vessel to work at around the 20 - 25 Knots. Designed for up to 15 persons there is plenty of room for whatever activity you are working on at present and more to the point plenty of scope to tender for projects in the future as well. Do not forget Wright International Ltd is able to offer the full and comprehensive package such as:-

•SHIP MANAGEMENT – a growing part of our business now includes SHIP MANAGEMENT as more and more of our vessels require their owners to be almost silent partners. MAIN ENGINE
Wright International Ltd is aware that in many parts of the world one engine manufacturer may be preferred to another. This can be by the availability of spares or by the expertise of the indigenous maintenance engineers. The good news is this manufacturer can offer you a wide selection of engine manufacturers such as Cat, Cummins, Hitachi Man, Volkswagen, Volvo etc. the Naval Architect has based his calculations on the Caterpillar C9 engines.
The 2 x 510BHP (2 x 380kW) Caterpillar C9 engines are four stroke 6 cylinder in line engines. They have six cylinders with 112mm Bore x 149mm Stroke and operate at around the 1500rpm. The power is transmitted through the 2 x Twin Disc MG-5095 RV Gear Boxes with a 2.04:1 reduction ration down the shafts to the twin propellers. For this set up the Naval Architect has selected 2 x 4 Blade Propellers measuring 710 x 762mm Diameter. There is an aluminium skeg rudder positioned behind each propeller. This arrangement will allow the vessel to operate at around 20 – 25 Knots.

Wright International Ltd works with yards all over the world and one of the biggest complaints from customers is the intransigence of these yards to build what the customer is looking for. The Yards are only interested in mass production of a vessel they have been working on before. Imagine then when Wright International Ltd s able to offer a whole support team of Naval Architect, Manufacturer and certification to suit YOU one where the yard builds to quality and not just price. This 16M ALUMINIUM FAST CATAMARAN has been designed for use in the marine industry worldwide and has many features built in for that purpose.
CLASSIFICATION
Many countries require different standards of Classification and again Wright International Ltd is delighted to be able to confirm that the Naval Architect is standing by to work to whichever Code of Practice you require for YOUR vessel. This vessel has been designed to be built to conform with the United Kingdom Code for Small Commercial Vessels or SFIA / MCA standards.
The 16m Fast Aluminium Catamaran has been designed in heavy duty marine grade aluminium and being a Catamaran has an inbuilt stability to be used as platform for many commercial applications. The aluminium is designed for a workboat and the Naval Architect has gone to great lengths to ensure that the necessary areas are strengthened for this purpose. Areas like the deck crane, engine, generator, crew transfer buffer will all be reinforced for the purpose. The extended wheelhouse makes for a good solid workspace for SURVEY WORK and the PORT SIDE has been designated for SURVEY WORK with its own workstation and locker for the valuable equipment required by the scientists. The 3m SURVEY WORK table will have two swivel pedestal seats for the operators to monitor the equipment. The STARBOARD SIDE will be fitted with the table and `U` shaped seating with integral locker space, around the dining table. This will designed for up to six persons. The Galley and the Heads will also be mounted on the STARBOARD SIDE.
HELM
This is a workhorse designed for use in a wide variety of commercial roles. There is probably no better place for this to be observed than the HELM itself. From the HELM the Captain has the ability to survey the whole ship and the Naval Architect has designed the HELM to have a Helmsman and a Navigator seated in 2 x KAB 300K marine seats with integral arm/head rests and mounted on aluminium pedestals. The instrument panels and navigational equipment will be located above the main console. (see ELECTONICS for more details).
SALOON
The vessel will be operating in some weather where safety can never be taken for granted. That is why the flooring for example will be fitted out with non-slip surface. The SALOON will have head lining in plywood with vinyl cloth finish. The headlining will designed with removable panels for access to cables for ELECTRONICS. To keep the SALOON light the Naval Architect has opted for light woods like Oak, Ash or Maple.

Wright International Ltd has many vessels on its site where the Manufacturers of the NEW BUILDS have fixed rules when it comes to designing the accommodation. Imagine having the freedom to talk to Wright International Ltd to have the vessel designed with the accommodation YOU require and being able to accommodate you and still remain in Class. Workboats always require the “BUYER” to make compromises as there is no such thing as the perfect vessel. YOU have to decide on what level of finish YOU require on your vessel. It will be fair to say the Owner/Operators always have a better level of finish than the larger companies who employ staff to man their boats. Whatever level of finish you require Wright International Ltd is here to make sure this is one vessel that satisfies YOUR criteria with consummate ease. Again as a suggestion as to what our Naval Architect can do for YOU, this vessel has been designed with the following ACCOMMODATION LAYOUT.
CABINS
In an attempt to utilise the maximum space for the aft deck and yet still provide sensible accommodation forward, this vessel has been designed to have four double cabins.
Each Cabin will have 2 x Bunks c/w fitted mattress in each cabin (storage locker under lower bunk) designed for even the most robust Seaman. Access is gained from the SALOON and as you descend the steps you come on the accommodation deck. Again the headlining is made of plywood lined with vinyl with access panels built in.
The flooring will be fitted out with non-slip surface. To keep the CABINS light the Naval Architect has opted for light woods like Oak, Ash or Maple, to match that used in the SALOON. The walls will be finished with guidance from YOU, whether you wish it to be commercial or yacht finish.
TOILET / SHOWER CUBICLE
Modern technology and standards on board Commercial Vessels now allow Manufacturers to incorporate a level of dignity previously unheard of in the marine industry. If you have had a hard day on deck then there can be nothing more relaxing than to go for a warm shower.
