30m Ocean Going Tug

Wright International Ltd can now offer its valued customers a 30m deep sea, ice breaking, ocean going tug for sale or charter. The tug has the advantage of being able to make short distance coastal contracts as well as having the capability to sail for 3 months and with a range of 10,000 miles before returning to port. The powerful engine onboard allows you to cover over 240 miles per day and as such the tug has been used for a number of operations including towing, salvage, dive support, research, supply vessel and guard vessel duties. As this tug has such ocean crossing capabilities, delivery worldwide can easily be arrange with its current crew, under the boats own power.

Engines

This tugs main engine is a single Deutz RBV6M 358 engine that produces 1600 BHP/2200 IHP @ 310 RPM. The tug is fully bridge controlled and offers a fuel capacity of 98 tonnes in 6 tanks. The tug has a very economical fuel consumption of 2.4 tons @ 250 RPM with a cruising speed of 10 knots. The fuel consumption under full load is only 6 tons per 24 hours.

The water capacity consists of 28 tonnes in 5 tanks helping to make this tug fully self sustainable for long distance contracts.

Decking Equipment

The towing gear on this tug consists of one main towing winch with a 76 ton brake and 24 ton pulling capacity. The winch is fitted with 1,000m of 34mm wire cable and is powered by a Deutz V6 Diesel Hydrolic Power Pack. There is also a 25 ton electrically operated secondary tow winch & capstan.

As well as having the winch onboard, you also have a Grove 9 tonne hydraulic crane that can lift 8 ton @ 2m.
