Engines

The engine onboard this vessel is a MAK 6M451AK diesel engine that produces 1100hp at only 375rpm. As this is a slow revving engine, the fuel consumption is far better than most modern ships. The engine was installed in 1975 and has been extremely well maintained throughout the years.

In 2006 / 2007 the ship was dry docked in preparation for a major tow contract. This resulted in the boat receiving over €100,000 Euros worth of work on the engine, generators, bow thrusters, propeller and prop shaft to name but a few. The boat then sailed from Poland to its current location in Thailand.

The bow thruster onboard is a hydraulic bow thruster that provides approximately 300hp. This allows you to manoeuvre and position the ship as if it were a much smaller vessel.
