Founded in Yaizu, Japan in 1910, Akasaka Diesels is now a leading manufacturer of the marine engine. This vessel is fitted with the AKASAKA A-34 which is a 6 cylinder 4 stroke diesel engine. The 340mm Bore x 620mm Stoke cylinders produce 1618kW (2200 PS) at just 270rpm and deliver the power to operate at around 9 Knots comfortably.
