Engines

This vessel is designed and built to the latest State of the Art materials and that includes the engines. Powered by twin CAT C18 engines rated at 715 BHP (525 kW) each to produce the power and the speed to make this one of the most desirable fast passenger vessels anywhere in the world today. CATERPILLAR has always been good at making engines but if it is possible they just keep on getting better due to their huge market and research budget. The C18 engines are 6 cylinder in line 4 stroke diesel engines. The 145mm Bore x 183mm Stroke pistons deliver and outstanding 18.1 Ltrs of power EACH.

The power comes from State of the Art engines but it is the DOEN DJ170 waterjets that allow it to be used in just 840mm of water and still do over 20 knots fully loaded.

GENERATOR
There is an Iveco Neptumo 40 kVA generator for additional electrical power.

Fuel Oil: 3000 Ltrs
Fresh Water: 400 Ltrs
Gray Water: 400 Ltrs

AIR CONDITIONING
2 x 12.7kW air conditioning units allow the passengers to enjoy the voyage in fully air conditioned environment.

Construction

Designed and built for shallow water use, this vessel represents the compilation of modern equipment combined by quality manufacture. Although it has a 70 Passenger capacity it only requires TWO of a crew to operate it. It was manufactured in GRP to allow smooth curves to give the vessel an outstanding profile and fitted out with comfort and safety in mind.

It has an LCD/DVD PLAYER to allow entertainment on board or to announce Safety Rules and Regulations. It also has a CCTV to ensure the whole vessel is able to be monitored with a small number of Crew. It has a bar on board to provide refreshments and it has toilets for the convenience of the passengers. A full sound system is again able to broadcast announcements or to have background music playing away for the comfort of the passengers.

Designed as a Water Taxi it is also equally suitable for longer voyages due to its comfortable seating and full amenities on board. Accomodation

Designed to be used as a fast Water Taxi but with the facility to adapt to service any route its owner chose to work. It has two decks and full amenities to allow it to be used on longer voyages.

SUN DECK
There is ample room to walk around on the sun deck and there is seating for 18 persons. With most countries in the world operating a no smoking policy this allows the sun deck to be a `smokers` retreat if selected. Safety is always a major consideration especially on fast craft and that is why there is ample protection with hand and knee rails for the passengers safety whilst on deck.

MAIN SALOON
The main deck was designed to allow the passengers to sit in comfort in aircraft type seating and yet to have enough space to allow its passengers to use all the facilities on board. The main saloon is bright, light and finished to the highest standard to allow it to be DNV Classed. This means all materials whilst pleasing to the eye are also fire rated and fume free in the event of a fire. The windows on the main deck allow all passengers to have a wide view of their surroundings.

BAR
It would be strange in this day and age not to have some sort of soft drink dispensing facility and this vessel is fitted with a Bar for that purpose.

TOILETS
With 70 passenger plus Crew it is a relief to everyone on board that are male and female toilets on board with hot and cold running water in the wash hand basins.

AFT DECK
If you have ever been on board a jet driven boat doing speeds around 20 knots you will know how fascinating the view from the aft deck. This vessel has been designed to have the AFT DECK as the focal point of the vessel. This is where you gain access to the SALOON, SUN DECK as well as board and disembark when in port. All that said it still has copious amounts of space to let the passengers wander around even at the very fast speeds when used as a Water Taxi.

FORWARD DECK
This vessel has also been designed to allow the passengers to use the forward deck for access and egress from the vessel. Again it has copious amounts of space as well as a Port and Starboard entrance to the MAIN SALOON.

Navigation Equipment

There is little point in having a State of the Art vessel if it is not fitted out with the latest technology and electronics. Take a look at the helm and you will see it has everything required not only for its Class but also for use in Coastal waters as well.

Safety Equipment

Safety is always a major consideration at sea. When you operate fast passenger vessels safety is always paramount. DNV is one of the toughest Classification Societies in the world but when the Naval Architect and Manufacturer worked on this vessel SAFETY was one of their main priorities.

It has CCTV, and it has an intercom system fitted as well as all the usual perquisites such as Life Jackets and Life Rafts. It is always hoped this level of safety will never be required but if it does than this is one vessels the passengers can take comfort in know that not only is one of the most desirable vessels in the world it is also one of the safest.
