This vessel has many patents pending on it and several of them are on the clever use of using diesel engines on the surface and electric power when submerged. The vessels consumes considerably less battery power, surfacing at night to (sometimes to snorkel depth ) to recharge its diving systems if required. Such activity could be sustained for prolonged periods of time with mission duration being limited only by fuel reserves and human factors.

Construction

Due to the ever growing demands on our Naval Warfare activities countries all over the world are trying to maximise their manpower and minimise their costs. That is where this vessel comes into its own. This is not one vessel but many rolled into one. It can be used constructively for both DEFENCE operations and OIL & GAS operations. This vessel has a climate controlled cabin and the ability to dive to 1200 Ft. One could describe it as an autonomous diesel – electric submarine that can recharge its own dive systems. Designed for littoral applications incorporating high speed surface capabilities and high weight/payload carrying capacity. As it was as with most modern technology the Military application that led to its existence we will analyse it first.

DEFENCE OPERATIONS.
Stealth that word that has crept into our every day life is the key to any covert operation. This vessel with it ability to operate at depths up to 1200 Ft, have a range of 500 N Miles, speed of around 40 Knots on the surface and 10 knots submerged and has the ability to carry 10 Tonnes payload. It can also provide surveillance by staying submerged for up to I week for a crew of two. It can covertly deploy SBS troops up to 7 persons including the pilot. OIL & GAS INDUSTRY
When one considers the huge amount of money the Oil & Gas Industry spends on deploying large ships with bulky ROV`s to monitor their pipelines, then this vessel has not only the potential to monitor the pipeline but allows the team on board to exit the vessel then and there and repair the pipeline before it becomes an International Incident.

The vessel can be deployed on any conventional ship and lowered into the water where it can then operate on its own with up to a massive 500 N mile range. This means it can pay for itself very quickly in saving the huge amounts of manpower and equipment it supersedes. It can be used to monitor the Oil Rig Legs whilst it is on location rather than lift the rig and lose out on income that would have been generated had it been able to remain on station.
