Construction

Built by Safehaven Marine from Co Cork in Ireland. Mr Frank Kowalski has taken this company from a standing start to be one of the worlds most respected small vessel manufacturer. They have gained global recognition for the way they test their vessels including the awesome Pilot Vessels, Interceptors and of course the Wildcats. The Interceptor 42 is manufactured in Heavy duty GRP and is coded by both MCA and the Ireland Department of Marine Specication.

Coded to MCA Small commercial vessels spec for area 2 up to 60 miles from any Safe Haven also completed to Ireland Department of Marine Spec P5 Licence. 12 passengers and 2 crew, deep v hull with 22 degrees deadrise amidship and fine 45 degrees at the bow and 16 at the transom gives a soft ride with no slamming and exceptional directional stability with hands off steering in following seas A 13ft 10” beam makes her exceptionally stable.

This Interceptor 42 has been designed as a multipurpose vessel and would cost around €500,000 Euros with this level of specification on it new today. Having the flybridge makes it ideal for use on the windfarms and with the large aft deck it could be a very useful workboat. Good visibility, solid construction, coded to 60 miles from safe haven, dive platform, generators etc makes this Interceptor 42 unique and most desirable for any marine company.
