Engines

The engines onboard this ship not only gives it great performance, but also exceptional reliability. The ship is equipped with triple MTU – 12v 396TE74L diesels that produce 2010hp each giving a total of 6030hp.

The engines are coupled to Reintjes WVS 730/i D-Drive gearboxes with a reduction of 1:1.53. The drive unit itself is 3 x fixed pitch propellers. The engine configuration gives a cruising speed of 23 knots @ 85% MCR with a fuel consumption of 900 litres per hour.

There are also a pair of 135kw Cummins generators running at 415v, 50hz, 3 phase.
