MAIN ENGINES

MACHINERY SPACE VENTILATION
220V AC axial type fans shall be installed with suitable airflow and necessary fire dampers. Centralized start/stop buttons in the wheelhouse and emergency stop buttons outside the machinery space shall be fitted.
BILGE SYSTEM
Electric driven (24V) self-priming bilge pump shall be provided according standard requirement.
MACHINERY & INSTRUMENTATION

All controls shall be provided/located in wheelhouse. Control shall be of electric type for engines throttle and gearbox at the helm and Aft control station (as recommended by engine and gearbox manufacturer).
HYDRAULIC STEERING
A charlyn orbital valve shall be connected to the hydraulic cylinder via a tie rod to synchronize the 2 semi-balance rudders. Hydraulic pump shall be driven by electric 380V. Emergency manual locking bar shall be provided in the tiller room to lock the rudders in the central position, should the steering system have failed. Emergency steering can be operated manually should the pump failed. Stainless steel steering wheel is fitted. A rudder angle indicator shall fit in the wheelhouse at the helm and Aft control station.
EXHAUST & SILENCERS
Wet exhaust shall be provided for the main and auxiliary engines. Exhaust pipes shall be insulated with asbestos-free heat insulating material and to be installed through transom area, as designated.

SEA TRIALS
The Proposed vessel shall undergo Builders and Owners acceptance trials with attendance of surveyor from Classification Society.
Endurance and speed trials shall be conducted over a measured mile course. Average of two (2) runs in each direction shall determine the speed of the vessel.
Trials shall include docking, manoeuvrability, single running engine running, running astern, turning circles at full power and idle, crash stop, anchor test. Recording are to be documented in the Sea Trials Booklet.
