Engines

The main engines onboard this tug are a pair of EMD 16-645E7B diesels providing a total of 6140hp. These engines are coupled to Reintjes WAV4800 gearboxes and 4 bladed props measuring 113 inch x 104 inch housed within kort nozzles.

There are a pair of GM/DD 12V71 primary generators onboard producing 150kw/380v/50hz. To help with the tugs maneuverability, there is also a Schottel S152L bow thruster powered by a 320hp GM/DD 8V71 giving 3.6t of thrust.

The tank capacities on this tug is as follows:-

• Cargo Water – 207t
• Potable Water – 95.4t
• Fuel – 543t
• Lube Oil 13.4t

The tug is very economical for its size with a cruising consumption of around 152gph at 10 knots with a range of over 11,000 nautical miles.

Construction

Accomodation

The accommodation onboard includes 3 single cabins as well as 3 twin cabins. The boat is certificated to carry 15 people onboard with full air conditioning throughout.

Decking Equipment

This tug is equipped with a Smatco; Double Drum SBS 84DADT200 winch that has a capacity of 7,600ft with a 2 inch line. The line pull of this winch is an impressive 250,000lbs. The stern roller on the tug measures 5ft x 10ft and to help with towing operations, you have Fritz Culver FCTP1024 tow pins onboard as well as a Bjorshol Triplex H300 shark jaw.

You also have a Smatco 5939 windlass onboard to operate the 2 x 1200lb Stockless anchor. Each anchor has 900ft of 1.25 inch chain.
