Engines

Diesel ribs in the past had a stereo type of being slow, heavy and simply not practical. Those days are long since gone and when you fire up the 350hp Volvo D6 turbo diesel engine, you will instantly feel that inner child in us all jump into life!

The power of this boat is phenomenal as you have the ability to cruise at speeds of around 30 knots and reach a top speed in excess of 40 knots! At 25 knots, the boat has a range of 300 nautical miles from the 360 litre capacity.

The engine has been serviced on a regular basis and currently has less than 300 hours on the clock. The engine is coupled to a DPR high performance drive unit and is controlled by a Volvo hydraulic power assisted steering system. The engine also generates cabin heating onboard.

Construction

In order for any boat to be granted MCA certification, you know the boat must be to a high standard. However, when that certification is for 60 miles offshore and at high speed, this makes the boat arguably one of the safest boats money can buy.

The rib has been constructed of a solid fibreglass hull with 22 inch diameter Hypalon tubes. This does well at giving stability at all speeds but also cuts into the waves effortlessly. The main structure of the boat is a wraparound fibreglass moulding that keeps everyone onboard snug and secure. Here you can escape the majority of the wind and waves yet still move freely for any commercial purposes.

Accomodation

The accommodation onboard comprises of a 2 berth cabin as well as 6 Scot seats with belts and arm rests in the main cockpit. You also have the addition of a cushion for use on the aft deck making this boat certificated for 9 onboard.

As the boat was designed with either overnight or extended cruising in mind, there is a Jabsco heads compartment onboard as well.
