Students who wish to teach social studies in Ohio public high schools can prepare to do so at Wright State University by first earning a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Education through the College of Liberal Arts. This degree gives the student the expertise in social studies so that they can teach the whole range of socials courses offered in middle and high schools.

The Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Education is a challenging academic program integrating all social science disciplines. Students will take a great deal of history and political science courses, so that they can teach History and American Government classes, but also courses in such disciplines as economics, sociology and geography.
