Graduate study in anatomy provides advanced professional education in the essentials of human anatomy, including gross anatomy, developmental anatomy (embryology), microanatomy (cell biology/histology), and neurobiology.
The Master of Science degree in anatomy is designed primarily for students who expect to continue on to doctoral studies (Ph.D., M.D., or the equivalent).
The department also offers a certificate program in anatomy. This program is for students who have an interest in anatomy but do not want to pursue, or do not need, a master’s degree. The program of study consists of three of the core graduate anatomy courses.
